A Life of Prayer and Service

Consecrated religious Sisters are celibate women who profess the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, at the prompting of the Holy Spirit, in order to be free to serve the Lord.  Their primary ministry is prayer and intercession.

The Franciscan Missionaries of Divine Compassion also operate a retreat house, this publishing ministry, and are involved in works of health care, evangelism, and Christian formation.

Our Charism

To bring the Gospel to the people,

The people to the sacraments,

And the tender love of Our Lord Jesus to everyone.

The Franciscans are deeply involved in their community, but their primary focus is  evangelizing and discipling,  through a charism of manifesting the fruits of the Holy Spirit:  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self-control.

Their spirituality centers on the love of Jesus, as depicted in the image of the Sacred Heart/Divine Compassion, and experienced through the power of the Eucharist.  Through prayer and sacramental life, they are filled with love and zeal to reach out to others.

How can I join or help?

There are opportunities to be trained as a religious Sister to live in community or to remain in one's own home and church.  Visit http://orders.anglican.org/mdc

There are opportunities for married and single persons to associate with the community and share in prayer and fellowship at www.fodc.net

If you would like to help financially in the training of religious Sisters, please contact us.
